Leon Russell spent the 60’s as a young pianist and then a songwriter, producer for the L.A. legendary studio Wrecking Crew. Then putting on another hat he became the Space Captain and to lead the MAD DOGS & ENGLISHMEN TOUR.

They shared genre-busting careers spanning over five decades from Rock and Soul, to Ballads and Contemporary Classics. This show chronicles Joe’s breakout performances at Woodstock & The Mad Dogs and Englishmen Tour and reaches further to present Leon Russell’s diverse songwriting career.
Derrick Procell brings his amazing voice to the task of channeling the same raw power and grit that made Joe Cocker such a diverse artist.
Brother John Kattke’s background, deeply entrenched in Blues and Soul, reveals a bit of the Oklahomans country side from within, covering Leon Russell’s most distinguished popular songs and performances during and after that unforgettable tour.
