CSO Chamber: All-Access Program 05
The Lincoln String Quartet presents two intriguing works by Mozart and Beethoven that offer a balanced blend of light and dark movements distinctive of both composers’ work at the end of their lives. Mozart’s String Quartet No. 22 in B-Flat Major, one of his posthumously published Prussian quartets, is ornamental and astutely expressive. Symphonic in quality with its six richly orchestrated movements, Beethoven’s String Quartet No. 13 in B-flat Major features the monumental and intricately crafted Grosse Fuge.
