DESCRIPTION:Overview of The Moth StorySLAM\nThe Moth StorySLAMs are held in various cities around the world and are open to anyone who wishes to share a five-minute story on the night’s theme. Participants put their names in a hat\, and a selection is made to determine who will take the stage. Each storyteller has five minutes to captivate the audience with their tale\, which is judged by audience members based on criteria such as adherence to the theme\, storytelling quality  management. \nHow It Works\n\nParticipation: Anyone can sign up to tell a story. When the doors open\, hopeful storytellers submit their names for a chance to be selected to perform\nThemes: Each StorySLAM has a specific theme that participants must adhere to. Themes can vary widely\, encouraging diverse storytelling\nJudging: After all stories are told\, audience members score the performances\, and a winner is declared. Winners from multiple StorySLAMs may compete in a GrandSLAM event for the title of champion\n\nThe night’s theme is….\n\nORIGINS\nPrepare a five-minute story about beginnings. Lightbulbs illuminating\, shells cracking\, cocoons giving way to metamorphosis. Transitions and transformations. Bring us your tales of catalysts big and small\, from puberty to graduations or first crushes to experiments. The impetus\, the springboard\, your back story.
